Job Description
1. Job Purpose:-
The Head of Branch is responsible for leading and managing the overall operations of the Tawau branch, encompassing Sales, Service, and Spare Parts (3S) to achieve business targets and ensure customer satisfaction. This role exists to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and uphold Tan Chong Industrial Equipment’s standards, while developing strong customer relationships and supporting the long-term sustainability of the company in the Tawau region.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
1. Branch Operations Leadership
Lead and oversee daily branch operations covering Sales, Service, and Spare Parts (3S) to ensure smooth, efficient, and customer-focused performance
2. Sales & Business Development
Drive sales growth through effective business strategies, customer relationship management, and market development within Tawau and the east coast of Sabah region
3. Service & Customer Satisfaction
Ensure high service quality, timely after-sales support, and continuous improvement in customer satisfaction and retention
4. Parts & Inventory Management
Oversee spare parts operations including stock control, availability, and profitability to support both internal and external customer needs
5. Financial & Budget Control
Manage branch budget, monitor expenses, and achieve targets while adhering to company financial policies.
6. Team Management & Development
Lead, motivate, and develop the branch workforce to maintain high levels of performance, teamwork, and staff retention.
7. Reporting & Performance Review
Provide timely reports on branch performance and operational challenges, while proposing improvement measures to management and execute action plans.
8. Compliance & Standards
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in all branch activities

1. Achievement of branch sales targets
(units sold, service revenue, parts sales).
2. Branch profitability and cost management Customer
1. Customer retention and repeat business percentage.
2. Market share growth within Tawau and surrounding regions.

1. On-time delivery of vehicles, parts, and service jobs.
2. Compliance with company standards, policies, and audit requirements.
3. Reduction in operational downtime and process bottlenecks.
4. Achievement of service turnaround time and parts availability targets. People (Learning & Development)
a. Minimal staff turnover rate
b. Succession planning
c. Improvement in staff performance and productivity
4. Qualification and Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Marketing, or any related discipline.
• Postgraduate diploma or MBA is an added advantage.
• Fresh graduates with strong leadership traits may be considered; preference given to candidates with exposure to commercial vehicle or automotive industry.
