Job Description

TPEA is seeking a Digital Engineering Technician to join our structured 3-year development programme based in Kuching. This role supports digital engineering activities including 2D drafting, 3D modelling, model coordination, digital engineering records, and model-based planning support for Australian engineering and construction projects.


Successful candidates will receive structured training, real project exposure, collaboration with our Perth office, and a clear career pathway within digital engineering and BIM-related disciplines.

Position Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, CAD, BIM, Digital Construction, Engineering Technology, or related fields.

AutoCAD experience.

Interest in 2D drafting and 3D modelling.

Basic understanding of engineering or architectural principles.

Good attention to detail.

Good spoken and written English.

Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, planners, and project personnel.

Willingness to learn new digital engineering tools and workflows.

Preferred:

Revit, Navisworks, Synchro Pro, or BIM platform exposure.

Primavera P6 exposure.

Construction or civil engineering project experience.

Relevant CAD or BIM certifications
Tasks

  • Create and update 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD.

  • Maintain drawing and model revision records.

  • Support model coordination and digital engineering activities.

  • Assist with 4D planning and construction sequencing workflows.

  • Maintain organised records of drawings, models, and project documentation.

  • Support Navisworks, Synchro Pro, BIM, and model-based planning initiatives.

  • Assist in identifying modelling, sequencing, and coordination issues.

  • Support development of digital engineering procedures and standards.

Salary Range
RM 2,400 per month
