Job Description

TPEA is seeking a Project Controls Officer to join our structured development programme based in Kuching. This role supports Australian engineering and construction projects through project planning, reporting, cost control, engineering delivery tracking, project data management, dashboards, document control, and project procedures. Successful candidates will receive structured training, exposure to real projects, regular collaboration with our Perth office, and a clear long-term career pathway within project controls.

Position Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, IT, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines.

Good spoken and written English.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with structured data.

Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders in Malaysia and Australia.

Willingness to learn and build a long-term career in project controls.

Preferred:

Power BI, SQL, Python, VBA, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project exposure.

Construction, engineering, or project environment experience.

Tasks

Support weekly and monthly project reporting.

Assist with schedule progress tracking and planning activities.

Prepare and maintain project registers, reports, and dashboards. Support cost control, budget tracking, cashflow reporting, and commercial records.

Track engineering deliverables, RFIs, technical queries, and project actions. Maintain project databases, document control systems, and reporting templates.

Support Power BI and Excel reporting activities. Assist with procedure development and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure project data accuracy, completeness, and quality.

Salary Range

RM 2,600 per month
