Fund Accountant to be based in Kuala Lumpur, start-up multinational company, unconventional 3-level remuneration package, mentoring benefits under CEO.

o Hold a degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW).
o Strong knowledge of corporate actions, cash and position reconciliations, and portfolio accounting principles.
o At least 2 years of fund accounting or accounting experience. Fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles. Candidates exceeding this requirement may qualify for senior roles.
o Deadline-driven with ability to prioritize under pressure and adapt to new reporting/compliance requirements.
o Excellent problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
o Able to multi-task and work independently.

We seek a meticulous and proactive Fund Accountant to join our Kuala Lumpur team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end fund accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial reporting for our funds and clients’ portfolios.

Your responsibilities will include:
o Perform cash, position and trade reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with transfer agents, brokers and custodians, etc.
o Perform fund valuation, conduct valuation analysis, and ensure adherence to pricing policies.
o Calculate and ensure accuracy of Net Asset Value, including expense accruals and resolve discrepancies.
o Calculate management and performance fees, and prepare billing to clients.
o Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, regulatory/statutory reporting and other ad-hoc reports for investors, authorities and management.
o Ensure robust internal control procedures are maintained.
