Abstract

The ABB ACS800 variable speed drive that includes a PID controller inside is implemented to control the speed of the induction motor. PID control is the combination of proportional, integration and derivative controller. Each of three controllers has different parameter and it will lead to different effects on the speed of motor. MATLAB simulink is also applied to obtain the ideal set of parameters for PID controller. The comparison between the practical and simulation performance is also done in this project.
