The project is an attempt to investigate and simulate the GCPV system under fault conditions including protection system such as overvoltage protection (surge protection using arrestors and a grounding system), anti-islanding (SMS method) and auto reclosing protection (single-pole auto-reclosing technique). The characteristics of the photovoltaic (PV) array and the Grid connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) system are also studied in this investigation.
