The palm oil industry in Malaysia has grown exponentially over the past decade. In the process of oil extraction, by-products or wastes are generated in large amount. The palm oil industry has been regarded as one of the major contributors of negative impact to the waterways. Hence; many methods have been developed to reduce the impacts of the wastes on the environment.
