Acoustic emission of palm oil kernel recovery plant had been a long occuring issue, paricularly with the involvement of nutrackers. However, it yielded severe noise when plant operates in large volume production. This resulted in severe sound pollution such as lead to work related fatigue towards workers despite using personal protective equipment. This was one of the major concerns in occupational health hazard among palm oil industry. In order to addreees such problem, a systematic study was carried out to investigate the acoustic emission from the station. The kernel recovery station was grouped into 9 segments for the acoustic analysis. The detailed acoustic attenuation behaviour was also analysed using acoustic isolation materials.
