Abstract

This project utilized cockle shells as the natural bio-fillers in the fabrication of polymer composites, due to abundant availability. In this research, the mechanical properties of different filler loading of calcium carbonate reinforced epoxy composites were tested. Therefore, this study is important in the field of composite material industry, whereby the filler loading of a composite is manipulated to obtain certain properties, depending on the requirements.
