Numerical investigation on rotor blade to stator blade in turbomachinery
In this research study, a rotor-stator model and rotor-casing model has been designed and sketched by using SOLIDSWORKS software. The test rig model is consisting of one rotor blade stage with six rotating blades and one stator blade stage with also six blades. ANSYS software then used for further simulation and analysis. The primary aim of this research project is to address the axial rubbing phenomenon when the rotor blade is contacted with stator blade at higher rotational speed. A comparison between rubbing caused impact of axial and radial rubbing also one of the aims of this project.
