Abstract

Copper is a highly conductive metal commonly used around the world for high voltage applicatons. However, copper is susceptible to corrosion after long periods of use. Conductive polymers are materials that do not corrode easily. Conversely, these polymers lack high electron charge transfer that hinders usage in high voltage applications. In order to address this problem, a novel method was investigated by doping Nano silver particles into the polymer matrix of poly (p-phenylene sulfide) since silver is the most electrical conductive element.
