Abstract

This report provides how permeability values could be identified from the Mercury Injection Capillary Pressure data as well as establishing new equation. There are various models to estimate the permeability from MICP data. However, 11 models were explained in this report which are Katz-Thompson, Huet-Blasingame, Swanson, Winland, Pittman, Hagiwara and more. MICP data from various samples could be applied to these permeability estimation models to verify their relationships between porosity, pore throat size and peermeability. Extant models were derived from specific models. Therefore, there are possibilities showing poor resilts when applied different materials. Based on these reasons, new equation has established for identifying more accuracy with precision. However, sample data was extracted from previous study.
