Abstract

This final year project thesis is focused on designing a lower limb exoskeleton for rehabilitation as well as for muscle strengthening emphasizing on a single degree of freedom at the knee. The exoskeleton adapts to the therapeutic exercise that would be normally facilitated by a physiotherapist. The project is to eliminate appointments and regular doctor visits by doing the exercise at the comfort of home with the assist of the robot.
