Abstract

Quadrotors are currently the most popular among multirotor platforms for development in the academic world. This is because they have incredible mobility and the potential for being used as unmanned aircrafts for their hovering capabilities. The goal of this study was to desgin and build a hybrid version of the quadrotor by combining a standard quadrotor with one of the most versatile forms of land vehicles, the tank. The goal was to add the caterpillar tracks to a quadrotor to increase its functionality and allow it to be more versatile in the field.
