Abstract

The main basis of this report is to justify an experimental view which will be conducted later on to showcase and record the progress regarding the development of the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS). This will be used as a guideline for the perusal of the Welding Procedure Qualification Test (WPQT), particularly suitable for a low temperature process piping project. Generally, a Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) is an approved version of a pre-written standard procedure that is intented for the purpose of guiding the certified welder prior to welding conducted with respect to the Section XI of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) boiler and pressure vessel code.
