Abstract

In the present work of the erosion distributions and particle trajectories in a pipe bends equipped with vortex chamber was studies using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approach. The Eulerian-Lagrangian approach was employed to solve the two phase gas-solid flow in the pipe bend. The Oka erosion model with grant particle-wall rebound model was chosen to develop the CFD-based erosion model. The scope of this work is to investigate the effect of chamber diameter on penetration ratio.
