Abstract

This theses investigates the usefulness of the discrete prolate spheroidal (DPS) FIR filter and the raised cosine filter for multiuser communication and to supply information necessary to construct these filters. DPS pulse waveform generation, filtering, energy concentration criterion and spectral efficiency for communication systems are analysed and examined.
