This thesis describes the use of adaptive channel equalization in compensating the intersymbol interference (ISI) created during the transmission of digital data over a multipath radio channels. The types of equalization techniques discussed are linear equalization (LE), decision feedback equalizer equalization (DFE) and maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) equalization.
