This thesis studies the acoustic echo cancellation in telecommunications. Acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) is used to remove the echo that leaks from the loudspeaker to the microphone in setting like hands-free telephony, VOIP and etc. The acoustic echo cancellation process basically consists of three general components, which are the adaptive filter, double talk detector and nonlinear processor.
