Abstract

Advanced ceramic materials are usually to be selected due to the capability of operating at higher temperature, toughness, hardness, resistive to oxidation, chemical inertness and good corrosive resistance. Research has been widely conducted on advanced ceramics to develop micro parts by using non-traditional machining. Advanced ceramics hard to cut economically and efficiently by using conventional methods. However, the attempted has been made to study tool wear and surface roguhness on advanced ceramics is limited by using conventional methods. This research paper illustrate the development of surface roguhness model and tool wear model for aluminium nitride in terms of speed, and axial depth of cut.
