This thesis outlines the design and development of humidity and temperature control of motor speed using PIC microcontroller. The aim is to use PIC (Peripheral Interface Controller) microcontroller to read measured humidity and temperature sensors and controlling 7 constant speed of an AC motor by using a variable frequency drive. This thesis will discuss the process of project design including components selection, hardware configuration between motor and the microcontroller, and programming sections which generate the required inputs and outputs. The overall software design was implemented in assembly language using MPLAB Intergrated Development Environment (IDE) software on a demonstration board called PICDEM mechtronics which comes with a built in PIC16F917 microcontroller.
