Abstract

The Subis limestone area (Late Eocene to Middle Miocene) is mainly underlain by the Setap and Nyalau formations and it is deposited in shallow marine. Subis limestone is basically formed in tropical-subtropical warm water, shallow marine (with depth less than 100m), good oxygenation and light penetration (clear water) and tolerance salinity. 7 macrofacies types have been recognized: fossiliferous limestone, coral limestone, algal limestone, stylolitic limestone, mud-dominated limestone facies, calcareous turbidite and pure limestone.
