Abstract

In this work the stress distribution on titanium workpiece is analysed in orthogonal machining process using finite elements method. Cemented Carbide Grades GC-313 has been chosen as the cutting tool material in the turning process. Stress is generated at in the primary deformation zone, secondary deformation zone and also tool-chip interface zone.
