There is a growing interest in alternative fuels. There a re two reasons for this interest, first is to decrease the environmental impact of internal combustion engine and the need to compensate for the declining availability of fossil fuel. In the light of both these factors the dual fuel engine is an attractive concept. The primary fuel of a dual engine is gaseous fuels like methane and syngas, which can be derived from renewables means and from fossil sources.
