Abstract

Currently, Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei are still using the third generation (3G) mobile communication technology. Mobile users demand faster download at good quality of services. Fourth generation (4G) or Long-Term Evolution (LTE) is a promising candidate. LTE physical downlink layer with MIMO-OFDM receiver can achieve multiplexing gain and improve symbols decoding. Adaptive modulation enable switching modulation type according to acceptable bit error rate or signal-to-noise ratio.
