Design optimization of shell-and-tube heat exchanger
Heat exchangers are globally used in most industries in the world today. The more efficient the exchanger is, the more energy as well as cost can be saved. The immediate objective of this research paper is to obtain an optimum design and dimensions of a heat exchanger, which gives the highest rate of heat transfer with low manufacturing cost. Through vigorous researches done, a simple shell-and-tube heat excahnger was designed using SolidWorks software.
