The thesis is about proposing and implementing a solution for a problem in wireless home security system. The solution is to implement a new wireless solution, known as Zigbee or IEEE 802.15.4 standard. The existing wireless solution adopted by wireless home security system, radio frequency and RFID is not secure and its data can be easily read and modified by using off the shelf items. The thesis will discuss about the problems with radio frequency and RFID along with how implementing ZigBee will solve all these problems.
