Abstract

This research aims to compare the performance of conventional and wiper inserts in turning stainless steels throguh machine vision system. Simulation using finite element analysis software (Third Wave AdvantEdge) is done before the experimental study. Feed rate was found to have significant effect with cutting force and temperature distribution in workpiece and tool interface. Eexperimental study is done by using medium carbon steel AISI 1045.
