Abstract

The main objective of this work is to study the effect of chatter vibration on surface finish and tool wear in turning process through finite analysis and experimental approach. Chatter that presents in almost all machining processes degrades the quality of a machined part. The experiments were conducted in wet turning process by using stainless steel as the workpiece while carbide insert as the tool.
