Abstract

This report highlight the effort of study and research into analysis for vortex-induced vibration on different shape and configuration of 2-dimensional objects. Besides, the effects of some parameters such as Reynolds number and reduced velocity have also been investigated. Those effects occur on both the system response and vortex shedding has been determined by previous studies. In this project, simulations of fluid flows past 2-dimensional objects will be carried out to analyze the effect of objects configuration on the vortex-induced vibration.
