Title
The experimental study on the effect of camera shutter speed in measuring surface roughness in turning process using machine vision
In-process measurement of the surface roughness is crucial in a Computer Integrated Manufacturing environment. Current methods of contact measurement are not suitable as they interfere with the machining process. Vision based method which use of high resolution Charge Couple Device (CCD) camera causes expensive experimental setup to assess machined specimens' surface roughness. The overall objective of this study was to conduct a comprehensive experiment for detection and monitoring of wear, particularlyusing non-contact imaging method on rotating specimens attached in the lathe machine.
