Abstract

Hydropower works by harnessing energy in water and using this energy to drive turbine, which is connected to generator that produces electricity as the end product. In recent years, hydropower has become has become one of the best alternatives in generating energy. Hence, it is considered to be one of the solutions for electrical power generation for rural areas as these areas normally have improper electrical supply. It is known that there are several especially rural areas in Sarawak have water collection sport that is not utilized, thus to overcome the electrification problem, Micro hydropower (MHP) can be built.
