Abstract

The unique properties possessed by the metal matrix composites make these materials attractive candidate for variety of applications. Several factors such as type of reinforcement, fabrication technique, and matrix composite give a huge potential for this material to be tailored for particular application. In this paper, several fabrication techniques and reinforcement particles were evaluated analytically for use in the production of MMC to enhance the properties of base metal.
