As the world increases its attention towards a more sustainable future, redesigning of consumer products to a more sustainable state has been a new trend. Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) have experienced a meteoric rise and are occupying landfills at an unsustainable rate, not to mention the fact that a lot of the wastes are hazardous. Therefore, there is an urgency to reduce the amount of WEEE in waste stream. Besides, law enforcers are starting to look at the possibility of reducing the wastes by accounting them to their manufacturers.
