Abstract

The aim of this work is to study the effects of operating conditions, material properties and geometry of a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC). An SOFC is an electrochemical device that, despite having being developed for decades, still requires further understanding before it can be proposed as a major sustainbel energy source in the future. A two-dimensional model of a cathode-supported tubular SOFC was developed in COMSOL Multiphysics, and was solved using the Finite Element method.
