Abstract

Backward Bend Duct Buoy (BBDB) is a new approach in terms of deployment to capture energy from the ocean waves. The total wave power which can be obtained in the world is 5 TW (Tera Watt). The waves are partially dissipated when the flow of waves reaches shallow shoreline but still produces energy equivalent to 20KW/m. BBDB is based on a duct build to capture the wave energy at lower or higher velocity of water at the top of the duct.
