Abstract

The aim of this research is to optimize the hybrid and spacing roughness parameter of the workpiece during the turning process based on the machining parameters of depth of cut and cutting speed. The workpiece and cutting tool used in this research are stainless steel 304 and polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (CBN) respectively. Desfin of experiment (DOE) prior to the optimization stage is done using Taguchi Method.
