Abstract

The ability to detect, control and prolong tool wear has many economic benefits to the industry. In advance times, a more efficient, precise and high performing cutting tools is being created everyday with the help of research. This project aims to study the correlation between tool wear and the surface roughness based on notch wear using visions systems. Two methods are being carried out to study the effects of notch wear, one through simulation and another thru experimentation.
