In the research project, an experimental investigation is planned in order to study the machineability of inconel 718 with silicon carbide whisker reinforced ceramic inserts in end milling process. The purpose of this study is to adjust specific cutting conditions in such a way that the machining operation would result in minimum flank wear while maintaining desired surface roughness. Besides, the relationship between the cutting parameters and response factor are studied to show the level of significance of each parameter.
