The solidification of crude oil can cause a massive problem such as blockage of pipeline during transportation and production of crude oil. The solidification of crude oil become more severe as the temperature continues to decrease to the bottom of the ocean. Hence, a proper management on this problem can greatly reduce the cost and time. In this research, fundamental understanding of wax deposition is studied to develop theoretical model of solidification of crude oil in subsea pipelines.
