Simulation of combustion in a spark-ignition engine cylinder using ECFM combustion and knock model
Simulation of combustion using ECFM combustion and knock models is done to study the normal and knocking regimes in SI-IC engines. By using the generated mesh model representing single cylinder Ricardo E6 engine, the effects of various spark timings and compression ratios under premixed gasoline-fuel gas condition are evaluated. The simulated results are validated by comparing with existing experimental data.
