Title
Design and Simulation of Slip-Mode Frequency Shift Method of Anti-Islanding
Islanding is a phenomenon when a section of the utility system containing a Distributed Generators (DG) is disconnected from the main utility voltage but the DG system still continues to feed the utility lines. This causes serious hazard to both personnel safety and to the equipment. Different anti-islanding schemes are available to detect the hazardous condition. In this research, Slip-mode Frequency Shift (SMS) method is studies extensively in this thesis. Comparisons are made to see the effect of different loads (parellel RLC combinations).
