Efficiency Optimization in Induction Motor Drives Using Power Measured Method
Efficiency-optimization of induction motor is very important in view of energy savings. Two methods namely loss model and the power-measured approach are very commonly used for optimization. In this research, the power-measured method is chosen because it does not require priori information of machine parameters. Two mostly used techniques known as Golden Section and Gradient Search are considered in this work. Algorithm is written for these two search controllerts to optimize the efficiency of induction motor. The algorithm search for the optimum point of the flux to get the mininum power input hence maximizes the power output.
