Title
Theoretical Analysis of Wifi Mac Protocol in Multi-Hop Configuration
This thesis presents the investigation report on the theoretical analysis of WiFi MAC protocol in multi-hop configuration. The purpose is to evaluate the performance of the IEEE 802.11 protocol in an extendad wireless environment to understand system behaviours and to be able to make appropriate recommendations. The evaluation requires appropriate modelling of the specifications and use of probabilities approaches for analysis purposes. The thesis produce useful resultsin terms of user capacity that the wireless system can sustain under various conditions and also user share of bandwidth.
