Professional, Full Time (Contract)
Location: Miri, Sarawak
This position is responsible for the operations and maintenance of electrical installation, air-conditioning, sewerage treatment plant, refrigeration, HVAC and other mechanical & electrical services of the facility through self delivered teams and specialist sub-contractors.
Scope of Responsibilities:
· Maintain standby generators and conduct servicing and Plan Preventive maintenance.
· Liaise with utilities providers such as Sarawak Energy, DOSH, JKPP and other regulatory bodies on utility services and compliance issues.
· Plan and perform preventive maintenance and reactive/corrective maintenance work to prevent or minimize equipment breakdown and power failures either through internal teams or subcontractors.
· Perform reactive and corrective maintenance during power failures or equipment break down.
· Attend to all power, equipment and machine failureS and rectify accordingly.
· Ensure installations are legal and in accordance to safety compliance and regulations.
· Lead and supervise the work of electrical and mechanical team and subcontractors, to ensure that good operation and maintenance practices are maintained and all statutory regulations are complied with.
Selection Criteria:
· Possess a certificate authorized by EIU (Electrical Inspectorate Unit) or Suruhanjaya Tenaga (AO/A1/A4)
· Possess a ChargemanA4 or AO certificate of competency with at least one (1) year of work experience in low voltage standby generator and one (1) year of work experience in installation and maintenance of low voltage aerial line.
· Possess a complete logbook based on one (1) year of work experience in low voltage standby generator and one (1) year of work experience in installation and maintenance of low voltage aerial line validated by a competent person and the employer.
· At least 3 years of working experience in a related field, preferably Technicians specializing in maintenance, repair (facilities and machinery) or equivalent.
· Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with general direction.
· Good command of both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
· Able to work on shift basis, weekends and public holidays (if required).
· Computer literate, knowledge of safety and work order system and proven ability to conduct toolbox meetings.
· Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use discretion and knowledge to determine appropriate actions.
