Position Details
Professional, Full Time (Contract)
Location: Miri, Sarawak
This position is responsible to provide administrative support and assistance to the Admission Officer in processing international applications to Curtin University including Curtin English.
Key responsibilities;
- Undertake data entry based on information on international application form and Offer/Acceptance documents onto student database management system (Student One).
- Undertake Sanction checks through Link Match (DFAT) database.
- Undertaking checking of completeness of documents and verifying against external verification portal.
- Undertake Student ID consolidation process in Student One.
- Ensure data integrity is maintained at all times.
- Provide factual advice in relation to the application process when dealing with international clients and university staff.
- Provide a quality client service to all clients ensuring information provided are consistent and professional presented.
- Respond to enquiries from students and agents via email or telephone with effective communication techniques.
- Liaise with Curtin recruitment agents, Recruitment Service Providers and international students in relation to international student applications/offers.
Required qualification;
- Completion of Diploma or Associate Degree or equivalent level of education and/or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated competence in the use of computer applications including Microsoft Office & databases.
- Demonstrated data entry skills, displaying accuracy and attention to details.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally with cross-cultural sensitivity, to provide a client focused service.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work according to customer needs and work deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others, as a team to achieve team goals.
Desirable
- Experience with student database management system.
