Position Details
Professional, Full Time (Contract)
This position is responsible to administer, deploy, support and upgrade applications and Operating Systems that are running on computer systems across the campus.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day technical support for ICT related equipment such as PC desktop, notebook, tablet, projector, document camera, printer, scanner, audio-visual equipment, and etc.
- Perform day-to-day technical support for general software application such as MS Windows, MAC OS, MS Office, MS Outlook, Internet browsers, Antivirus and other authorised software.
- Perform daily routine checking on ICT equipment installed in teaching and learning venues.
- Provide technical and standby support to ICT equipment set up for events.
- Maintain and monitor user’s hardware and software to ensure high availability.
- Basic network setup and troubleshoot user’s networked computers and peripherals.
- Respond to service issues and requests in a timely manner.
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Manage and update hardware and software.
- Test and evaluate new technology.
- Explore relevant ICT solution related to operations.
Required qualification:
- A bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.
Selection Criteria:
- At least one (1) to two (2) years of hands on technical support and troubleshooting experience. However, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Familiar with Microsoft OS products/software. Knowledge and experience in Linux is highly regarded.
- Basic knowledge in PA system such as microphone, speakers, audio mixer, amplifier is an added advantage.
- Possess problem solving skills, technical and logical thought process.
- Possess highly developed interpersonal skills and conversant in spoken and written English.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively; both independently and in a team enviornment.
- Detailed oriented, a positive attitude and skills in providing a high quality customer service.
