Professional, Full Time (Contract)

Location: Miri, Sarawak

We are looking for a creative individual to join our expanding in-house design. This person should have a track record of contributing to outstanding, multichannel advertising or marketing campaigns that not only look great, but perform efficiently as well. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinker who is aware of current trends and has an excellent eye for design and aesthetics.

Key responsibilities:

• Schedule projects and work execution.
• Study design briefs and determine requirements, and conceptualise visuals based on requirements.
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas, work with team leader to produce final design.
• Test graphics across various media, amend designs after feedback.
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
• Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
• Provide professional design services to the University community.

Selection Criteria:

• Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, multimedia or related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in graphic design. Working knowledge of photography and videography would be a distinct advantage.
• Prior experience working on a wide range of marketing functions including branding, communications, advertising, email marketing, digital marketing, website, content creation is preferred.
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Creative Suite, Microsoft Office), and all social media platforms.
• A keen eye for visual composition, aesthetics and details.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work methodically and meet challenging deadlines
