Location: Miri, Sarawak
We are seeking a fully dedicated Technician to support the increasing workload on security and surveillance hardware. The focus of this position is to provide CCTV and door access hardware maintenance.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide day to day support on CCTV and door access systems including but not limited to installation, provisioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrade to resolve issues related to the surveillance and security systems.
- Apply relevant firmware upgrade to the CCTV and door access systems.
- Provide work updates, progress and/or escalate issues to relevant department/vendors.
- Provide technical specification to the Security Department for new CCTV or door access devices/parts to be purchased or replaced.
- Evaluate quotation received with the budget holder.
- Work with vendor on new device installation, replacement and warranty claims.
- Keep records of installation and maintenance work and asset records up to date.
- Carry out network cabling work.
- Provide cross-functional training to other colleagues in the ICT department.
- Work on other tasks as assigned by the team leader or ICT Manager which are deemed relevant to the operation of the ICT department.
Required qualification:
- Minimum, a professional Certificate, Diploma in a relevant field.
Selection Criteria:
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in CCTV and Door Access installation, maintenance and trouble shooting.
- Familiar with various brands of CCTV and Door Access systems, brands and technologies like BioDscan, MicroEngine and Dahua.
- Experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, door access and related equipment.
- Possess understanding of basic networking principles, IP configurations, door access wiring diagram.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated a positive attitude and skills in providing a high quality customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience in basic electrical wiring AC/DC concept for devices is preferable.
- Proven track records on problem solving skills and diagnosis experiences will be an added advantage.
