Position Details
Professional, Full Time (Contract)
We are looking to hire a detail-oriented Technician to provide support and work with a team of in-house Technicians for campus building civil and structure and the fittings.
To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety and comfort should be your top priority. The ideal candidate will be patient with excellent organisational and troubleshooting skills.
Your new role
Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inspects building fittings for any issues, identify technical problems and troubleshoot and carry out necessary repairs.
- Schedule repairs for faulty piping and fittings or damaged structures.
- Replace damaged tiles, floor groove and plaster ceilings and walls.
- Repair damaged doors and door ironmongery, including small items repair such as office table, chairs, lockers etc.
- Assist to monitor and supervise contractors doing maintenance and repair works.
- Painting, roof repairing, PU grouting as well as basic carpentry work.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding.
- Close task/work order assigned via ticketing system in a timely manner.
- Carry out inspection on building’s fit-out and report any unsafe practices and/or any incompliance to the superior and assist in logistic arrangement for campus’ events.
- Attend to feedback/complaints from the staff and students in a timely manner
About You
- Certificate/Diploma in Engineering (Civil), Welding Technology, Building Services or relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in building maintenance and repairs.
- Computer literate and able to produce monthly maintenance report.
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills and able to build good working relationship at all levels.
- Skill in managing workload, work under pressure and able to prioritise tasks to meet deadline in a multi task environment.
- Proactive, able to work independently with minimum supervision and in teams.
- Able to work on stand-by after office hours (based on roster), weekends and public holidays.
